Treating sex partners for chlamydia, gonorrhea to get easier

On Jan. 1, Illinois will join about 20 other states in explicitly allowing doctors and other health-care providers to treat partners of people diagnosed with the sexually transmitted infections chlamydia and gonorrhea without actually examining those partners.
